This is a thing that happened:

I walked to Taco Bell for lunch, and after I placed my order, asking to take off the cheese and the sour cream and replace the meat with beans, the cashier actually asked if I was vegan! 

So then she launched into this whole story about how her cousin’s a vegetarian and had to explain to her (the cashier) why she (the cousin) still ate dairy products but not meat and it was sort of a cool exchange. Not something that happens every day.
